The good, the bad and the ugly of finals...

 The Good:
  • Knowing you'll be finished soon
  • The satisfaction when you reread for the millionth time your 30 page paper and think to yourself "hey, it's better than I thought!"
  • You're all powering through together!
  • Free food
 The Bad:
  • When you think something will take just another 3-4 hours and it takes 16 hours instead.
  • The fact that there is a severe lack of water fountains in the library that actually function, meaning you have to run all over the building just to stay hydrated (PS There are ones on the 2nd floor and 6th floor by the restrooms)
  • You start forgetting things, like coffee mugs, jackets, your name...because your brain is so full of other things
  • Facebook chats with classmates that consist half of stickers, 1/4th of complaining how tired/stressed you are, 1/4 of questions about the actual assignment. These usually take place at odd hours.
The Ugly:
  • For us early-planners (aka me), we start to assume other people's stress, resulting in poor sleep and jolting awake at 6 am thinking "omg-what-day-is-it???-Did-I-submit-the-assignment?"
  • Hoping your friends don't fall over during their 30 minute presentation because they only had 8 hours of sleep...in the past two days.
  • Free food: it's good, but it can also turn ugly.
  • When you realize that you are 500 words and an edit away from the completion of assignments and you actually want to stay at the library and enjoy the bittersweet moment of almost completing your Master's.
  • Writing blog posts instead of just writing the last 500 words....and knowing everyone is thinking "what a slacker" when they see that you aren't stressing out (including your adviser).
